That's the changelog, not an advertisement of a new version. The free version (0.01) is still the only version available here, the paid version (0.02.1) is currently only available on my Patreon. I am planning to add a paid version here on Itch as well, however, so check back for that soon.
NoxDev, I understand. But maybe you should have a word with Itchio because this is the post they sent me and it seriously misleads the reader into thinking that this major update is what you will be purchasing with your donation. I'll wait until you send them the updated link.

I don't know what you mean, this doesn't mention anything about donations. You can request a refund if you donated, or contact itch support if you feel misled by them.
It would be pointless over $2.00. They make it very difficult to contact them for anything. But you should try going to the site yourself and see what I'm talking about. When you click the link to download, it gives you the option to either "pay" or just "take me to the download link". If you pay, you TEND to get a link that is more recent than the one offered without donating.
But it is somewhat misleading to send an email with the link below that "offers an update for the project", has a link titled "0.02", and describes the Dev Change as if it is what you are getting; all of which the link below does say. Just letting you know that they are enticing people to donate when they don't have the link they are advertising.
All the character art is made by me in Flash, my style is heavily influenced by anime and hentai of course, but also by some old Newgrounds creators. I was just aiming for a chibi-anime style
I've already had to remove a fake link posted by a spam account. I will never post a link to an "updated version" in the comments, please do not follow links posted by unrelated accounts

Why has Itchio advertised the 0.02.1 version but the only available download is for 0.01? I paid. Why can't I get the update?

I get you. I'm very sorry you had that experience. I will bring it to their attention, but I can't promise they'll change anything.
